I hope you enjoy this discussion with Roma Forbes on how to succeed on placement and a discussion why 5-15% of students do fail a placement over the course of a physiotherapy degree. Roma is a teaching focussed lecturer at The University of Queensland and a titled msk physio. She has completed a PhD in the area of how to train students to be effective patient educators.
She has also been a clinical educator of final year physiotherapy students for the last 12 years in New Zealand and Australia. Her current research focuses on graduate readiness for practice and the transition of students from the classroom to clinical placements and then out into the workforce. Check out her twitter here...
